RE-STRUCTURE
Project ID: SKHU/1802/3.1/043
Duration of the Project: 1 May 2020 – 31 October 2023
The RE-STRUCTURE project is the backbone of the Action Plan, which will create a total of 70 places for social care for the elderly in Ipolyszalka, Helemba and Szob, adapting the supply side of care for the elderly to the increased demand of an ageing population.
The development of the old people’s home in Szob will be completed in 2021, and equipment is currently being procured. The new facility will provide accommodation and care for 32 elderly people. The building, which will cover an area of around 500 square metres, will have 1 quadruple room, 6 triple rooms and 5 double rooms.
The development will create at least 8 new jobs in the area. The existing old people’s home in Szob will be retained, so that together with the new building the municipality will have 50 places to meet the demand for residential care.
The project will include the construction of a laundry and a social kitchen, the former in Kemenče and the latter in Bernecebarát (see RE-NEWAL project). The construction of the laundry building in Kemenče has been mostly completed and the equipment is being purchased. The kitchen building in Bernecebarát is at 70% completion.
The construction works in Slovakia (Helemba, Ipolyszalka) are ongoing. The social institution in Ipolyszalka will have 20 beds, 8 double rooms and 4 single rooms.
The Burda Centre in Helemba will provide rehabilitation services, a salt room, relaxation therapy, physiotherapy, aromatherapy and complex care.
